Transport Visit

Jed's father visited school to show the Junior classes the big transporter truck. The children got to sit up inside the cab! It is a very BIG truck!

Special Guests

This afternoon, Rooms 5 and 6 had two very special guests, Macauley and Clayton from Room 14. They brought their cornets to play for us.  Both Mac and Clayton have been learning for only 6 months and are already very talented musicians.  They are also in the final of the talent quest on Friday!

They played some tunes for us and we were mesmerised!

We were shown how they hold their cornets and the special cases they are kept in!

Thank you very much for coming and playing for us Macauley and Clayton.  We can't wait to see how you progress with your music in future years!  (And good luck in the talent quest!)

Speedy Writer

Krystle is a 'Speedy Writer'! She can write lots of words quickly. Well done Krystle.

Christmas is Coming!

As part of a focus on the letter 'SS' the children made Santa hats. Christmas is not far away!

Healthy Eating

On Wednesday we had a special visitor in Room 5. Catherine Crichton, the Public Health Nurse, came to discuss healthy food choices, especially for our snacks and lunch boxes. As part of the lesson, children used picture sheets to identify and choose healthy foods that they liked to eat. Catherine also gave further information sheets  for parents to use for ideas when making lunches. Thank you Catherine.

Maths time

Children are working on ordering numbers to 10 and 20. 

Some children are learning to match numbers and sets of objects.
