Busy Bees at Independent Reading Time
Each day after morning interval, children in Room 5 read from their independent group reading baskets.
The Big Shake-Out
Our school was part of the Big Shake-Out on Thursday 15 October. Children practised keeping safe in an earthquake both inside the classroom and outside. They know how to keep 'Turtle Safe'.
Term 4 New Entrants
Three children started in Room 5 at the end of last term, and another child has joined us this term.
Railcar Visit
In the last week of Term 3 we walked to Queen Street to see the railcar travelling from Dunedin. We don't get to see passenger trains very often! The children were excited and the travellers were very happy to see lots of little children waving to them.
Big Slurp
At the end of last term we had the 'Big Slurp' drinking our milk from Fonterra. The children made cow masks and the whole school was involved.
