Safe Walking

On Monday 2 November, Constable Jos visited our classroom to teach us about 'Safe Walking'.
We learnt about where it is safe to walk, 'Sneaky' driveways, and where it is safe to cross the road. After our classroom lesson we went outside and practised how to keep safe when we are walking
Some senior students came to help us.

The safest place to walk is on the footpath.  We practised walking along on the 'inside'of the footpath, not on the 'outside' next to the road.

The safest place to cross the road is on the pedestrian crossing. You must stop and check for traffic before walking across.

We learnt to be careful at driveways in case a car is backing out. You need to stop and look for cars before you walk.

We know how to keep safe when walking. Thank you Constable Jos!
